Online Bitrate Calculator |
Overview: |
Our Online bitrate Calculator is an easy to use tool that gives a basic idea of what bitrate to use to make video's of a particular size. |
|
Advice: |
Many
people encoding video for CDR aim for a file size of
698MB as opposed to taking the full space of the disc,
the reason for this is that it enables any necessary
codec's or filters to be added to the disc using the
remaining 4MB.
|
Caculate It: |
Lets
say for example you go slightly over or slightly under
the bitrate you wanted, once you have the first edit
done you can recalculate to get a precise size.
For example, lets say you encoded a movie with the
calculation shown in the default settings of this
calculator.... 1 hour and 30 minutes at a bitrate
of 949k and you end up being 5mb over, for arguments
sake lets say the video alone is 619MB and you wanted
it to be 614MB, you could get it exact using the following
calculation:
Bitrate / File size achieved X File size required
This would mean that 949 / 619 X 614 = 941
941 would be the bitrate for you to encode at and
have the perfect size.
Hopefully you found this helpful. |
